Elizabeth Sheridan: Hip-hop
Teacher
Elizabeth
Sheridan grew up dancing at the Cathedral Dance Conservatory, starting
at the
age of three, where she studied ballet, modern and jazz. While at the
Cathedral Dance Conservatory, she
was a part of Leap of Faith dance company and
then on to be a Cathedral Dancer
performing ballet/pointe, partnering, lyrical, jazz,
and hip-hop. Elizabeth began
teaching dance at the age of 14. She
graduated
from DeKalb School of the Arts in 2002. While
in high school, she was a part
of DRC, a touring dance company. She received her BFA in Dance Performance
with a minor in Math in 2006 from Brenau University in Gainesville Georgia.
While studying at Brenau,
she danced with the Brenau Dance Ensemble
under the leadership of Jolie Long
and the Gainesville Ballet Company under
the leadership of Diane Callahan. She received a full scholarship to attend
the
American College Dance Festival, a summer dance program at Duke University.
She has also had the opportunity to dance at many venues such as
Disney Word,
the Super Bowl Pregame Show, Festival of Trees, Duluth Festivals,
TBN, Cathedral
of the Holy Spirit, and other various theatres, malls, nursing
homes, churches…
